Hi, I'm Monique 🤍

About Me

I'm a mother, a grandmother, and an early childhood educator with over 15 years of experience working with children and families.

Barefoot Bubs was created from a deep belief that mums were never meant to do this alone. I have seen, both personally and professionally, how much early support, connection, and understanding can shape the experience of both motherhood and childhood.

My work is grounded in a gentle, relationship-focused approach. I have spent many years working in early childhood education, particularly within Montessori environments, where I developed a strong respect for the individual child, natural development, and calm, nurturing spaces.

Alongside my practical experience, I have continued to study and deepen my understanding of children and families. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and an undergraduate qualification in Childhood Trauma, and I am currently completing both a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and a Master's in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health.

I also bring additional training in areas such as neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism, mental health first aid, and working alongside Aboriginal children and families.

Most importantly, I bring my lived experience — as a mum of six and a nana to a growing family — which has shaped my understanding of how important it is for mums to feel supported, seen, and not alone.

Barefoot Bubs is a space created from the heart.

It is not about doing things perfectly. It is about creating a gentle village where you and your baby can feel safe, connected, and supported as you find your own way.
